Job: Merchandising Manager
Location: Shanghai China
Reports To: Merchandising Director or GM
Responsibility:
Buying:
- To study and define the product mix according to the specificity of each city
- To participate and assist in the preparation of OTB
- To participate and assist the Country Managers/Store Managers in seasonal buying session
- To ensure the right merchandise is purchased for each city in the right quantity
- To distribute product information and order details to Regional Office and individual stores after each buying
- To prepare merchandise book for each season
- To initiate and co-ordinate with Inventory Control department of Regional Office on re-ordering and transfers of merchandise
Merchandising, Training & Display:
- To propose remerchandising of store during new product launch and season end sale
- To identify training needs and prepare training materials on products, in particular RTW and Shoes
- To review and discuss with Country Manager & VM Department on guidelines to visual merchandising and store on display according to global guidelines / new product launch schedule / advertising & promotion program / image /sales and stock level
Commercial Follow-up:
- To prepare monthly reports on product comments
- To review sales and sell-through analyses and propose action plans if necessary
- To coordinate with Regional Office on the development of quality and after sales services
- To conduct market research on customer behavior, market trend, competitors’ price and product offer
Requirements:
- Experience
Knowledge of fashion and luxurious products, 4-5 years buying / merchandising experience preferred
- Education
University graduate in business / fashion design
- Skill
Strong analytical ability both quantitative and qualitative, good PC literacy.
Good interpersonal and communication skill
- Language
Good command of English and Mandarin
- Personality
Pleasant, Self-motivated, Pro-active, Result-oriented, Good Team Player
