Job: (Senior) Marketing Manager

Location:  Shanghai Region, PR China

Reports To:   Greater China Marketing Director

Responsibility:

  • The primary focus of the (Senior) Marketing Manager is to lead and manage brand marketing and retail brand presentation functions and personnel in Greater China Geo (China, HK, and Taiwan) to achieve the brand marketing goals by creating consumer demand, excellent retail brand presentation and working with the global brand marketing team to execute marketing initiatives in GC.
  • Brand Marketing – drive consumer demand in GC Geo through developing brand connections and communications programs across key platforms and mediums to increase awareness of and demand for company products. These include working with global brand marketing team, creating and/or adapting brand assets, and effectively implementing brand assets for GC on Advertising, Digital, Social and PR.
  • Retail Marketing – drive consumer demand in GC through developing retail marketing programs to create industry-leading consumer experience at retail. These include working with global brand marketing team and leading GC retail brand presentation team (4 subordinates) to develop retail doors, to plan and implement in-store communications, and to execute product presentation.
  • Consumer Research – work with global brand marketing team and local agencies to better understand the Chinese consumers through qualitative and quantitative research initiatives. From research results develop key insights that drive marketing initiatives.
  • Team Management – manage marketing team subordinates to achieve above goals.

  • Ensures actions protect company image and limits risks
  • Decisions and actions impacting company image require management oversight and are constrained by policies
  • Adapts plans and priorities to address Geo business and challenges
  • Minimum Requirements - Typically requires a Bachelors Degree and minimum of 8+ years directly relevant work experience
  • 8+ years’ experience in Marketing related role with managerial experience
  • Marketing experience in international brands in China.
  • Experience in developing and executing Marketing plans.
  • Ability to think creatively and lead marketing team with clear direction.
  • Strong business orientation, analytical aptitude and budgeting skills.
  • Ability to successfully develop strong working relationships at all levels and to create cross-team collaboration.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including brand/ product messages writing and meeting facilitation and presentations.
  • Always seeks to know more about consumers, anticipates changing needs, and prepares to meet them.
  • Proactive, productive, efficient and independent.
  • Language:Chinese & English – Fluent, Oral & Written
  • Accustomed to working in a rapidly changing, high growth environment. Ability to manage multiple and competing work priorities, demands and changes.
