Job: Logistics & Supply Chain Director

Location: Shanghai/Wuxi

Report Line: Logistics Managing Director

Responsibility:

• Lead the development and implementation of logistics strategy in order to improve finish products flow accordingly to company goals
• Define plans to improve efficiency, reliability and promptness of logistic system (transport costs, stock level, leading and delivery time, service standard, etc.)
• Ensure design, implementation and management of physical flows, guaranteeing an optimal balancing between commercial demand and industrial capacity, optimization of the service level in terms of costs and timeframe, etc.
• Ensure the knowledge of the logistics services market in terms of rules and services, analyze the requests coming from business and production, research and select logistics services suppliers
• Develop capabilities and logistics initiatives to support logistics performance over a multi-year horizon, in terms of processes and infrastructure
• Establish productive working relationships with other departments including Finance, Sales and Industry.
• Monitor and manage the team, support them in their daily work and be responsible of succession planning, coaching, organizational development (structure & process) and people development

Requirements:

• Extensive experience in supply chain and in a senior management position, in multinational company preferably home appliance industry (5 to 8 year's min)
• Successful work experience in a foreign company in the relevant position
• Graduate degree in economics or logistics management, or equivalent
• Working experience with supply chain technology solutions, reporting tools and methods
• Strategic thinker with confidence and speed in execution and strong planning skills
• Ability to interact at the highest levels of the company and lead multi-disciplinary teams
• Chinese Mandarin and fluent English required
