Job: Sales Director

Location:  Chengdu

Reports To:  South Territory GM and National Sales Director

Responsibility:

Develop and lead regional Sales Strategies and Initiatives:

  • Develop 3 years regional growth strategies & plan to capture rapidly changing market
  • Ensure the consistency & alignment between region & national
  • Collaborate with Category Management, Key Account, Marketplace Management, Commercial
  • Planning, Sales Operation to maximize business opportunities

Drive Sustainable Growth:

  • Set regional Biz priorities and lead operation excellence with team
  • Drive seasonal selling strategies, sales programs to manage company and customer growth and profitability
  • Balance driving result KPI (OTB) & Process KPI (Sell-Thru, Inventory, Retailer profitability)
  • Optimize resource allocation and aligned with National policy
  • Manage functional expense within budget

Lead and Develop Marketplace Management:

  • Develop and lead regional Market mapping & distribution roadmap
  • Align with Category Strategies to implement BBG (Best, Better, and Good) door segmentation
  • Drive balance account profile and Strengthen partnership with regional branch office
  • Build competition intelligence

Lead Sales GTM Process Execution:

  • Lead and build capability & competency requirements to successfully execute the GTM process
  • Benchmark internally & externally (retailers, direct & indirect competition), incorporate timelines and successful business practices where appropriate into the GTM process as the retail environment evolves

Develop Best-in-Class Sales team:

  • Recruit, Coach and Motivate. Champion Best-in-Class.
  • Develop recruitment strategy to uplift talent pool; Identify High potential candidates and developmental plans

Develop succession plan roadmap within key position

Requirements:

Experience:

  • The ideal profile will be a senior sales leader with either a first-tier FMCG or one who has already progressed from FMCG sector to retail. Relevant experience will include leading rapid growth across a diversified product line & market place. This experience may have been gained with a western or local retailer or FMCG company most recently.

Education & Industry Exposure:

  • Bachelor Degree in Business or related discipline with a minimum of 7 years relevant experience, preferably in wholesaling branded consumer products, of which 5 years at management level.

Language:

  • Fluent English and Mandarin both written and verbal
