Job: VM Manager

Location:  Shanghai China

Reports To:  MKT Manager

Responsibility:

  • Store Visits
  • Each district to be visited min once per quarter.

  • Store layout input
  • To give advice and participate in decision making process of retail store layout principles for all categories and make recommendations for improvement.

  • Window Presentation
  • Ensure window guidelines are rolled out and compliance adhered to and activated on time.

  • Merchandise Presentation /Guideline compliance
  • Ensure presentation and promotional guidelines are rolled out and compliance adhered to and activated on time.

  • Guideline Translation and Local Guideline Conception
  • Responsible for the production of local initiative guidelines
  • Training
  • To have input to VM training needs and packs.

    To manage a programmed roll out of training needs and assess results.

    To assess VM personnel best equipped to give training in conjunction with HR

  • Pops Collateral ordering
  • Collation of seasonal/promotional collateral numbers and place orders to Marketing Manager.

  • Project Management
  • Direct country VM project management to conclusion

  • Budget Control
  • ROC budget management.
  • Target spend 90% - 100% of allocated budgets
  • Competitor Analysis
  • On each store visit assess local competitor VM best practice in conjunction with local team. Collate monthly District feedback regarding competitor activity and feedback best practice
  • Make Recommendations
  • To make recommendations regarding shop fit, promotions, ticketing, display & propping, process & communication
  • Calendar Management
  • To have input on global & local retail calendar ensuring correct events and timings to maximise sales based on PY facts and trend information. To ensure DVM awareness of approved calendar and ensure timely awareness and implementation
  • Task Analysis
  • Ensure that all VM activities achieve the benchmark targets expected by country retail; PY sales targets, Divisional targets, category targets, density targets, UPT, IPC.
  • Recruitment
  • Recruiter in conjunction with HR of Country VM personal.
  • To be consulted for District VMM positions.

Requirements:

  • VM Experience
  • 5 years dedicated VMM experience.

    Multi store essential, multi region.

  • Other retail function awareness
  • Operations, Marketing

  • Language skills
  • Host language essential, English desirable

  • Mobility
  • Fully mobile

  • Microsoft Office skills
  • Specific behavioral skills
  • Leadership, Interpersonal communication skills, Train the Trainer, Time Management

  • Management experience
  • Min 2 years regional experience
